BioGaia® Protectis® MUM is a dietary supplement containing the patented lactic acid bacterium Limosilactobacillus** reuteri Protectis R (L. reuteri DSM 17938) that helps the good microorganisms keep a natural balance in the gut.

I am not pregnant but I am breastfeeding, is it recommended for breastfeeding mum?

Hi, This particulat Biogaia is adult strength and designed to promote your gastrointenstinal and immune health while pregnant….which has an effect on baby’s developing immune system. It would not be contraindicated during breastfeeding at all – the Biogaia strains are super well researched for maternal and baby health – but if you want the probiotic to get directly to baby now you could look at the Biogaia protectis baby drops as an option. We have used both. I just love the Biogaia Reuteri strains. Hope this is helpful.
